As Proclamation Church continues to make basic preparations to serve God’s calling, I was in email correspondence with a friend of mine that I want to serve as our eventual Executive Pastor. Currently, he is serving a tour in Iraq with the US Army and will be back home in August 2009, if Jesus doesn’t return first! I was outlining for him what the vision for Proclamation Church given to me and outlining, theologically, my position on the basic tenants of the doctrines of Christianity, when I realized two things:

  1. These doctrines need to be essential to the vision/mission of Proclamation Church, and
  2. I, personally, need to know more about them myself!!

So, over the next several weeks I am going to begin a blog series on Christian Doctrine to provide myself the time to focus on key doctrinal issues, and also to educate. A list of a few things I plan to cover, but certainly not exhaustive:

  • Inerrency and inspiration of the Scriptures
  • Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
  • Original Sin and total depravity
  • Jesus
  • Salvation (w5h)
  • Justification
  • Sanctification
  • Satan, demons, spiritual warfare

Soli Deo Gloria!!!
