Yesterday, Beth and I spent the morning and afternoon fasting and reading and in prayer regarding the new year, God’s direction for our life, and God’s plan.  It was an awesome day of renewal and prayer and study.  We read the book of Joshua, who took over the leadership of the Israelites after the death of Moses, and with Caleb, was confident of God’s ability to deliver them and the land to their hand through His power.  The book of Joshua is about God fulfilling His promise to His people and God’s gracious provision even to the people that questioned His ability to provide.  After their 40 years wandering, Caleb and Joshua, were the only two people alive of the Israelites when they spied out the land and the people grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

So, as Beth and I are in this season of waiting, we resolve to seek God, to follow His plan, and to believe and know that God will provide, just as God provided and kept His promise of giving the Israelites the land of Canaan.

So, three posts so far this morning, its a busy Monday, but God is good and doing AMAZING things!!

At work at Ruby Tuesday last night, we were able to share the story of taking our co-workers to church and how they are going to join our bible study on Thursday nights at 7:00pm.  The reactions were mixed:

• Person: “Who?!?  This couple?” Me: “Yes!!”  Person: “Whoa, wierd.”
• “Really?  They’re going?  That’s crazy awesome!!”
• “Oh that’s AWESOME!!  I’ve been praying for them.”
• “Bible study?!?  Can I come?”

So, while there was a lot of surprize from everyone, there was also a lot of excitement and the amount of people from work that want to attend our bible study on Thursday nights just doubled in about a ten minute time-span!  God is good!!  Seems that they will have to temporarily close Ruby Tuesday in Thursday nights!!  It is very exciting that so many people want to come!!

In the midst of the conversation about the couple at work, we found out that one of the servers, she goes to a young adults service in the area on Tuesday nights that we will have to check out!  God is moving!  His plan is AWESOME!!  His opening the minds of people at Ruby Tuesday through us is EXCITING!!  How blessed and humbled I am to be apart of it!!
